Allen Iverson. He's a former MVP. Their team went to the NBA Finals once against LA (now don't argue here, Iversons team was a surprise team back then). One of the highest scoring guards in league history. Until T-Mac proves he could take his team to the next level it's still A.I. for me.

This is a really hard question, and I will not be biased since I'm a Rockets fan. I will pick Allen Iverson as the better player. I understand Tracy is one of the best players in the league, but he chucks up a lot of shots, and his team always fails to get past the first round each year, and this year with the help of Yao Ming, Shane Battier, etc. On the other hand, Allen Iverson has been to the NBA Finals, with not so great of a team and also went up 1-0 against the Lakers. Now, also talking about awards, T-mac doesn't have any MVPs, while Iverson has one. Also talking about personal skills, one man standing at 6'0 can average 30+ points in more than 1 season, and another man standing at 6'8 average 30+ points in more than 1 season... that's not too impressive for T-mac. Now I will give T-mac credit this season, because he was a legit candidate for MVP. Since T-mac's shot wasn't falling too much this season, he averaged a career high in assists. But overall, I would pick Allen Iverson over T-mac. And after 10 seasons in the league, and a couple of unsuccessful ones in Phillie, A.I. is as strong as ever in Denver. And for T-mac, after several unsuccessful runs in the playoffs, he might just get out of the first round this year.

I would also go with Iverson because he has more experience in the playoffs than T-Mac. T-Mac has never gotten past the 1st round in the playoffs while Iverson has gotten to the Finals. Iverson is versatile because he can score 30 points for you or he can dish 10 assists for you. T-Mac will only score 30 points for you, and I also think the Carmelo Anthony - Allen Iverson pair will work wonders for the Denver Nuggets, and the NBA in the near future.

I would have to say Allen Iverson career wise:

Big East Rookie Of The Year - NCAA
Big East Defensive Player Of The Year - NCAA (1996)
NBA Rookie of the Year (1997)
All-Star Rookie Game Most Valuable Player (1997)
All Rookie First Team (1997)
NBA Most Valuable Player (2001)
NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (2001)
NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (2005)
4-time NBA Scoring Champion
3-time All NBA First Team Selection
3-time All NBA Second Team Selection
3-time NBA Steals Champion
8-time NBA All-Star (missed 1 due to injury)
Team USA Basketball Captain (2004)
Led Philadelphia 76ers to 2001 NBA Championship

I don't think T-Mac could be compared to a player like this unless your qualifications are kindness and a good attitude on and off the court.

Skills wise I would say that Iverson, while he has lost a step is still better, now with that said McGrady is the better all around player as he has the skills and is more of a team player.

while wholesome and fidgeting with self assurance-Tracy McGrady is the final out of those 4 although in the final few years we've seen little of that from Tracy, so i visit bypass with Kobe or Iverson

two different kinds of games, its really impossible to compare them altho iverson is a better prime time player...

iverson is probably the most unstopable one-on-one offensive player the game has ever seen.

t-mac is almost jus as gifted being that he is a 6' 8" guard who paved the way for the kevin durants etc. and he is a great selfless player. but he cant win the big games!

It's hard to say. Both guys have complete games, (pull-ups, getting around defenders, making things look easy, dime kings, etc.) Currently, I'd have to with Tracy, because he's not yet out of his prime, and this guy can turn it on any time, whereas I don't think A.I. can do the things he used to do, like drop 35 a game, or anything close to that unstoppable level I saw in him with the Sixers. A.I. will improve anyone's ballclub, but he just doesn't do the dirty work anymore like he used to, a near demand for a superstar. T-Mac is still fully capable; he just needs to stop playing around and score. Sorry man, gotta go with the Mac.

Iverson.

As talented as McGrady truly is, he's just never been as much of an all-around skilled player like Iverson has. It's nearly impossible for me to try to compare the two of them because of it.
