so today i was hanging out with my friend and her cousin who i get along with but dont know very well. so we were hitting eachother when we saw vw bugs and pt cruiser bruisers. my friend's cousin gently slaps me in the face. he is a boy and im a girl... and i've never been hit by a boy before in the face. am i overreacting over a stupid game or is chilavry truely dead and therefore i should be in shock? i know completely random but it's bugging me

I think that's a line a guy should never cross.
I would play that game just so ladies could hit me as much as they want and I'd never hit back. I get very upset at men that abuse women and while this was prolly just him being too aggressive with you, I think games, serious times, or anything, a guy should NEVER hit a girl.
P.S. Girl's should respect this too, and not provoke guys... I know someone who prolly needs to be smacked, but I'd still never do it. EVER.

Which is it? You describe the same act as a harmless game and a despicable act. How are we to interpret that?

given the fact that he doesn't know you that well it was a little out of line. BUT you also have to realize your part in him being too familiar with you. how did you immediately respond? it's important if you let him know you were a little upset about it, or did you brush it off.
If it's bothering you this much you should call your friend and just ask "what's up with your cousin"?

You are right on target! He should never ever hit you in the face! It is a game and you get lightly tapped on the arm- I would have told him to get f***ed if he smacked my face!

2 to 1, it shocked him as much as you. He probably didn't even realize what he was doing until after it was already done.
I wouldn't even be suprised if he apologizes next time you see him....or even has your friend apologize for him.

Just tell him that where you come from boys do not hit girls. Tell him that he may do that to his sisters, but you are not one of his sisters.

ok, if there was anger behind it, or some swear words, its bad
but playing a game? its cool
hard to see it that way b/c of our strong beliefs we were taught
