Maybe there is no such thing as total nothingness. Ponder that for a while.

It is my opinion that is the way it was before the big bang. For some unknown reason the infinite nothing caused a stress of some kind that manifested itself as the pin point of energy, which is still nothing in the sense that it had no mass. It is illogical to believe that something has existed for eternity, it had to come from somewhere!

I was thinking on this one day and came up with a theory. Imagine the universe as we know it devoid of matter (planets, stars etc). Take + & -, and imagine them as entities with conscioucness. They are within this void growing in size but have never come into contact with eachother. They are like slumbering beings only because they have no stimuli to stimulate thought. All of a sudden they meet and the meeting is painful. Their first consciouse thought is pain and this begins the eternal battle of one trying to cancel out the other. (right + wrong, good + bad, positive + negative) So if this were a fact then there would exist something in nothing. It would just need stimuli to make it something. This was a theory i came up with while thinking of the existence of god under the influence of ?. Sorry to bore you with that. but your question reminded me of my nonsense theory.

You would surely be without something. Yet something existed, and it will keep on existing until the only thing left is nothing. But then again... nothing is something.

Then nothing.
If none of it is real and we're all just imagining this reality, then nothing has changed. The world around you and your interactions with it are uneffected.
That's possible too, and we'll probably never know.
That's why we don't worry about it.

i always think about that. i always wonder wat happened before space and before there was anything, but the truth is that our brains just can't access that kind of information. we just can't picture something coming out of nothing so its just impossible for us to picture nothing. it just is. i hate this answer but this is the same answer that i always get...it bugs me just as much as not knowing how far space stretches, wich i've heard the answer to that is that there is no end...it just keeps getting bigger. once again. something comes out of nothing. its SO confusing but thats why i love astronomy.

I think that if you could ask the question it would be proof that nothing isn't.
