Tell her to do some research about AIDS.You have to pretty naive to believe that it only affects gays and blacks.
Also you can tell her to visit a aids support group and they will give her all the information she wants.

Actually some people are a little more immune.
I was watching a documentary on AIDS and they said that People with Eastern or Northern European descent are 10% more immune than others.
I am Latino/Hispanic by the way so I don't have any reason to be bias.

You could try to give her some information about HIV/AIDS which would clearly explain how it is transmitted.Or you could explain that it is a virus and doesn't pick people by what color they are or who they sleep with.Like Hepatitis or Chlamydia or a host of other diseases and viruses, HIV/AIDS is an opportunistic virus and so it spreads from person to person without care to who gets it.
But, I have found that people can be stubborn. They can be convinced that they are immune because they are a certain color or sexuality or religious belief. As if diseases really cared about such things. They think HIV/AIDS is like a cartoon character going around deciding on whose body it wants to go into based on certain criteria that they imagine out of their own views. So, personally, if they are that arrogant I just let them find out for themselves and then I can be there to say, "I told you so".But I doubt I would even waste my breath at that point.

Tell her she is a time bomb waiting to go off. Have a look at the CDC (Center for Disease Control) website or places like that. AIDS is not confined to gays or blacks, though black gays in metropolitan areas are at extreme high risk right now.

Despite the fact that her statement is completely ridiculous, I don't think any proof you give is going to make her change her mind. A comment like that comes from intolerance and people who are intolerant are generally also immune to facts.
I can tell you this: I have a good friend who has AIDS. She is heterosexual and Mexican.

Have you checked the Stats on the CDC website?

HIV/AIDS is a VIRUS...Viruses do NOT discriminate and No one race or gender is automatically immune.
Common sense, dear, Common sense.
In Non-African Countries, Lesbians (gay females (are actually one of the LOWEST risk groups for HIV contraction simply because of the nature of the way they have sex...Lowest risk does NOT mean Immune)
Non-Gay or Black Victims of HIV/AIDS:
Ryan White!
A child who contracted the AIDS Virus through intravenous blood transfusion.

he's no longer basically badly incorrect, i think of he's the two nuts or has a terminal case of prejudice. human beings did no longer get the AIDS virus by ability of having intercourse with monkeys, for one ingredient. are you able to think of monkeys cooperating in that? it truly is ridiculous and disgusting for an educator to signify this variety of ingredient! There seems to be some information pointing to the virus getting into human beings while they sought for, butchered, and ate monkeys with the virus, possibly getting the animal's blood in a decrease on the hand. You as a pupil ought to dig up much greater precise and convincing education on your guy or woman. i'm hoping somebody asks that speaker the place he have been given the information showing that all and sundry gay African-individuals have AIDS and that the father and mom get to pay attention touching directly to this variety of incorrect information their teenagers are being fed in college.

Ryan White from Indiana was the first case of a child getting it. It was in the 80's and he got it from a blood transfusion. That lady is ignorant because it's not immune to any race or sex.

Wow. I hope the AIDS virus knows that before it tries to infect her. That's gonna be one embarrassed virus. Just keyword search on "AIDS STATISTICS", "AIDS INFECTION RATES", or go to the CDC website. Though I honestly think if this lady is this ignorant on how a virus in general works, she isn't going to have her beliefs compromised by something as silly as facts.

I know of a white woman and white man that have AIDS. It's from drug use and sharing needles. That has nothing to do with sexuality or skin color. She's naive and you should tell her that she should contact her local health department for facts and brochures. She could be HIV positive right now, and not even know it. Very sad.
