What happened to the slower traffic moving to the right in the US?

Because many drivers are idots and have little or no undersanding of the driving laws. Remember Drive Right Pass Left.

Technically the middle lane in the fast lane. In a three lane highway the left most lane is the OVERTAKE lane. You really arent supposed to drive there for very long. Not that it matters anymore......
But if you expect me to move right, dont tailgate me, I will. I cant speak for the rest of the idiots out there.... I think there needs to be a handbook on the unspoken rules of the road. I have had a few occasions of spirited driving where I was blocked. I flashed my brights once, twenty second pause twice another pause, nothing. A third time, I received the finger. I was not tailgating them, I was merely asking politley "move over" I am sure they were fuming when I blasted by them. But hey I am sure they were suprised to see I had not been pulled over when they drove by a cop a minute later. But with my radar detector, and some helpful citizens in the oncoming lanes, flashing their brights at me. I knew what awaited me...

In Pa the law will ticket a person for staying in the fast or left lane, It is used only for passing. You pass and then get over to the RIGHT ! The cell phones have to be banned, this is dangerous. Pull over, make the call.

I don't know but it's sure getting irritating to be stuck driving 55 miles an hour on a 75 mile an hour highway in the fast lane behind some dumbass on a cell phone!

i travel 130 miles a day on the highway for work for 16 years and i have seen so much its unbelievable. its just people have no common sense when they get behind the wheel. its no wonder why the truckers hate it out there. i come across drivers all the time that just poke in the fast lane and when you pass them on the right they get mad.i can keep on about this but i aint its no use drivers these days just dont care...

What he said above me, a lot of people dont know driving laws, its a shame that theres so many idiots out there. I have a friend who immedietly goes in the left lane, even traveling the speed limit, even if theres no cars around. No idea why he does it, but its instinct for him.

One reason is that most people dont use common sence.
