Who would win: Goku or Silver Surfer?

I was disappointed with the Fantastic Four 2 movie. I understand that in a movie they don't have enough time to cover the entire Silver Surfer saga. But still, it seemed almost effortless the way they captured him and got him to turn good.

For people who know Silver Surfer from the Marvel comics and people who know Dragon Ball Z,

Who would win: Goku or Silver Surfer?

Good question. I'm actually going to have to go with Silver Surfer on this one. I'm a big fan of DBZ & Marvel, & in most fights, I would go with the Saiyan powerhouse, but in this case, Surfer is far more powerful. The Surfer can travel at warp speeds, making him far faster than Goku. Goku could try to combat this with Instant Transmission, but by the time he appeared beside Surfer, Surfer would be away faster than light speed. The Surfer has virtual invulnerability, giving him an edge on defense. Surfer can also manipulate matter, including the very molecules of Goku's body. He can manipulate & absorb energy, such as the kamehameha. Finally, he can heal himself, & he can survive in deep space without air, unlike Goku who needs senzu beans & oxygen. Oh, & the Surfer can also destroy astral bodies. Winner: Silver Surfer.

siLver surfer for a change!

just because goku can bLow up pLanets and universes doesnt mean he's unbeatabLe.. sure he's that guy with the ka-me-ha-me wave, but how many times did he die anyway? if it wasnt for those dragon baLLs some one heck of a super bad*ss viLLian had bLown up the earth in some other fashionabLe way..

siLver surfer on the other hand is more inteLLigent than goku and wouLd not resort to fighting him mano-a-mano.. siLver surfer aLso has the power of energy absorption in any form and convert it to his own so he can manipuLate those energy bLasts from goku.. and is you read the comic books, "he is aLmost totaLLy undestructabLe"..

if you reaLLy know the abLities of both guys you wiLL agree with me.. for those peopLe who think i forgot the surfer's weakness i did not.. if you separate the surfer from his board he wouLd be powerLess.. as if goku wiLL cheat into making the surfer Leave his board as goku is of pure heart..

The characters in Dragon Ball Z, especially after the saga at Namek are all extremely powerful. Even Frieza has the power to blow off a whole planet.

So there you have it, nothing will stand a chance against any of the DBZ warriors be it Silver Surfur, Superman, Edward Elric, Rayquaza, Lugia etc.
