Selfish and inconsiderate, insensitvie people are everywhere. Then again, there are many selfless, considerate and sensitive people.
The first category is a very sad one to live in. If you can help, you should. My personal credo anyway.

Alot of people believe that family menbers should be able to take care of themselves when it comes to earning a living to put food on the table, mow the lawn, shovel snow, drive a car, etc. I don't know of too many dogs and cats and fish raised the way small children are raised to do to earn a little extra income until they are old enough to raise a family of their own. Pets are a form of entertainment like movies, TV, someone you can tell your troubles to and won't argue with you as a rule. So they get treated with the respect they deserve. If they're bad, they're treated as a child might be. If they're good they're rewarded. But that's jmho.

I have noticed this same thing and am very sad about it. All over the U.S. News right now is the case of Michael Vick and his dog fighting ring. But, there are homeless people in every city and they receive absolutely no notice. I love animals and have a cat. But, I love humans and want to see them do well also.

I think that animals and people are equal. they r both living and hav feelings. 1 is not more important than the other. About ur sis, she probli cares alot 4 her dog, mabi the dog helped her during some confusing time in which the cousins= children just sat around being clueless. And so she thinks the dog deserves 2 b rewarded. just rmbr, that animals and humans r equalli important.

She spent $35,000 on her dog while she watches her cousin and children starve? I doubt that very much. What did she buy her dog, a diamond collar?
Nice try. Animal lovers are compassionate people. Period.
Loving your dog doesn't mean you are neglecting the humans in your family and to suggest otherwise is ignorant.

Well, i personally think that girls should sometimes ask boys out, just cause i am a guy and dont have the guts to ask them out myself. But i think why most of the guys are nervous about asking is about what strange rumours will be around as soon as he asks. Sometimes it helps if the girl asks, it will give the boy a little self-esteem.

I see. You have a point. I agree with you. Whats up with that sister in law of yours? I'm not saying that I don't like dogs, even I have one, but people can't spend too much on their dogs and not help their own families. I guess some people are TOO much of animal lovers and are blinded by the cute face and eyes of an innocent animal. People should try to help both animals and humans. Animals need our help but without anyone elses help, humans can't develop aswell......The people nowadays...sheesh!
I wouldn't spend too much on my dog and not help my family but I guess this is subjective to personal opinion....It's their money they can do whatever they want but because of that, they can't just let their own blood starve and die while a dog gets a bigger bed or something. Humans should try to help everything theu see in need let it be an animal or a human just like themselves but they should even try to balance the help out and not just do it to one and not the other.
I admit, dogs are defenseless creatures who need our help but does that mean that we'll have to give up our own kind just to give them a cleaner toy or something. I don't think so.

wow your sister in law is nuts she could of donate the money to children that don't have any clothes and toys. I have to dogs and I like them and their cute but my daughter comes first no matter what I dint spend that much money on them the most money I wasted on them is like $300 and that was for immunizations i waste $30 every month on food and treats and I buy them toys no more worth than $3 but you know sometimes dogs act better than people and they never let you down like people but my little girl comes first.

I have seen people do that crap too. it is sick and wrong. For example, I had a cousin(n law) that felt the same way.
If she saw a movie in which an animal was treated badly, she would cry, but if people were tortured and killed, she thought it was funny, and never got upset by that.
Glad you said it! That's a sick outlook for a persson to have. A psychological disorer if you ask me.
