Would a 41 year old woman with kids aged 3,5 and 11, leave her husband, break up a beautiful family and inflict the kind of hurt and suffering that a divorce has on young kids, because she needs to "find herself" and "it's not you, it's me"???

By her own admission, her husband is a great father, does his share and then some around the house, is affectionate and loving, makes good money and has no major vices, other than smoking....and she even claims that the way her husband is and the point her marriage is at, is supposedly what she's always wanted...what she's has always claimed would make her happy.. Yet, "I'm just not happy" "I've lost a piece of myself over the years, need to think about myself and what makes ME happy"... I say that what is really going on is that she's met someone else!

I have to add that 4 months ago she WAS interested in someone else...she considered having an affair... and it was after this guy at work came on to her that all these changes started. Hmmm!!

The grass is always greener I guess. I guess that she might not be seeing that that "green" is really pus and she will wreck her life, her husband's life, and her children's lives by her actions. She wants the co-worker and she will end up hurt. Try talking some sense into her.

Unfortunately these things do happen. She may feel that she has sacrificed doing the things that she enjoys for the sake of the family. Particularly if she was married at a young age, she missed out on those dating and exploring life years. If possible, try to get her into marriage counseling. She may find that what she really wants is more attention, or freedom to do the things that she enjoys. If I were in her position, I would reconsider. The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence until you get there.

He is the reason. Has she started dressing or acting different? Has she picked fights with you? Been sneaky calls or anything like that? When these home wreckers enter a married person's life; it makes the married person act in a way that is so out of character for them. It is like the devil takes over because a mother with kids 3,5, and 11 should be thanking God every day for them and be concentrating on them and her husband instead of coming up with the "find herself" line. Hopefully this can be stopped before it starts. Once it starts; things will never be the same again. goodluck.

Sounds like a rather selfish individual to me.

The grass is not always greener on the other side, and odds are she will do something that harms the marriage, if it is now or later.

She will also most likely try to come back, once she realizes what she has lost.

Don't know what to tell you, but it sounds as though she is thinking about things that she has missed out on; in this case other men.

Shame.
The husband deserves better.
