I understand there is a process that separates the salt from the solution of salt and water and leaves just the 'rare earth minerals'. (These rare earth salts are meant to be beneficial when consumed)??

The rare earth elements are scandium, yttrium, and all of the lanthanide series, except promethium.

All the rare earth metals are mildly toxic to humans and other animals. None of them have any health benefits whatsoever.
