I've been of voting age since 1987. Living in the Peoples Republic of Daley (i.e. Chicago, Illinois), I don't get very many candidates to vote for with a chance of winning.

I've elected 2 Senators, 2 Congressmen and 1 President.

From most to least proud, the five people I have elected are as follows:

1. Peter Fitzgerald (R - Senator). He appointed Patrick Fitzgerald who the country knows convicted Scooter Libby but we here know successfully convicted George Ryan!

2. Michael Fitzgerald (R - Congressman) - He defeated the soon to be convicted Dan Rostenkowski who was convicted of several crimes related to graft in Congress. Clinton pardoned him.

3. Paul Simon (D Senator) - While I turned conservative in the early 1990s, he is still someone I consider trustworthy even though I don't agree with him on most issues.

4. George W Bush - OK with my 2000 vote, disgusted at the 2004 vote.

5. Dan Rostenkowski - Convicted felon. See #2 for details.

What are your choices?

I'd take Kinky after Rick Perry sold out Texas and America for some kick-backs from Spain (with Guiliani acting as middle man).

cantcu - You have to admit Fitzgerald was an excellent Senator and a far better choice than Carol Mosley Braun.

You also have to admit Rostenkowski needed to be replaced.

As far as religion, Simon was the beneficiary of AIPAC / Jewish money and I would have to say AIPAC is one of the factors why we are in Iraq and why even Pelosi gave a greenlight to Bush to wage war against Iran.

Most Regan - President, he was proud to be and American
and gave rebirth to many of us at the time.
Most Nixon 1968 election, some regret 1972,Vietnam
could have been ended earlier during that
term.

Least - Gerald Ford -President
Least - Carter - President

Least Bob Graham - Senator - FL
Least Al C. Hastings - House of Reps FL

Most George Bush & George W Bush
No regrets: They believe in the United States
and while they may have not always been successful,
I believe they have attempted to do their best.

Well, I really don't have any other than the same one you did, and I worked for him. But it was only the primaries. Paul Simon

I have never voted for any Republican president, senator or congressman, except in the primaries in order to vote against them!!

I haven't voted for anyone federally that I regret. I am most proud of voting for Russ Feingold though. He always seems to be ahead of the curve. I think this might be because he actually reads the legislation he votes on.
