how do i make a youtube video using a vide camera and a compaq presario 5461 with no usb port or webcam. just a video camera, the compaq, outdated windows 98 and a crappy dial-up internet connection.
any KNOWLEDGEABLE and POSITIVE advice would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

monkey thats a great idea but theres a little nitch in that equation... you know how much a 'modern' pc would run me?

All you do is huck up the camera to you com. then download it onto a file. Then go to youtube and press "Upload" and put the title, comment and tages. Then you press "Upload Video" then you press "Brownser" then find the video you downloaded onto the computer, then you select it then wait for it to be on youtube

Wow, That's gonna be tough. No USB means no Firewire for sure. And I don't know of any current editing software that will run on Win98 unless you have an old version of something like Adobe Premiere 5.5 or maybe 6.0
It's gonna be tough. Might be worth finding a friend or family member that has a new computer.

if you don't have a usb port then you can't connect your video camera to your computer, unless you upload it from another computer then transfer it to your computer

The only thing i could suggest is buy a new "modern" PC or MAC and maybe a different cam......
