It is called a Manifold Absolute Pressure device and it is all computerized,it also is a sensor and any faults will bring up a code, which in turn will affect emissions problems associated with it.Costs for a new one varies with the maker of the car.

in my experience a fuel filter will not be such an issue at the lower end of the rpm scale such as from the stop sign. the map and egr how ever would be a larger issue at that point. if you look at the freeze frame date with that code, it will give you a direction to go into.
