I would do it in a heartbeat. I would soak in every detail of the day wanting to carry the memory of the day in my heart forever.

I did do that. I didn't know it would be the last day but my husband and I had taken the day off to catch up on chores and go to the grocery store. He wandered off and I couldn't find him until the loudspeaker in the store announced that the Green Bay Packers had just scored and I found him when he cheered. (We lived in Wisconsin and every store played the Packers' games.) We had a great time and then I said I was leaving for Ohio to buy a friend's car, I'd see him on Tuesday. And he said he would be waiting. I arrived in Ohio and about two hours later, my daughter called to tell me he'd been killed in a car wreck. I will always treasure that day. And that's the way I will always remember him, cheering the Packers in the middle of the cake aisle.

I've been blessed to have been able to spend the past 22 1/2 years with the love of my life.

There would be no heartache, just gladness that i got to spend time with them and wonderful memories left over. I would most likely video tape anything i possibly could so i could watch it later and keep the memories alive if i knew it was the last i would see of him.

If it could only be for that one day, I couldn't stand the thoughts of missing her for the rest of my days. So, rather than do that, I'd choose not to spend that one day with her. I'd be worse off than now. Your questions are really interesting, and show you have substance. Take care Nursegrl !

yes...i will forget all my heartache just to spend that one day with him...that's why people tend to give the other party chance when they make mistake...so even if one minute, i think it is worth it

Stop depressing me. It's bad enough only being able to see each other twice a year, OK?
