In the Movies, When Actors/Actresses "Act" the part of Looking themselves in the MIRROR, they are really

'Looking into the Camera' in the Mirror and NOT at Themselves.

Why do Movie Directors teach, when Acting a MIRROR Act.....they always have Actors/sses angle themselves Eye-Balling the Camera-Lens....and Not really Looking at yourselves ???

Seriously, Directors DO have them Look at the Camera and Not themselves in the Mirror on the Movie Stage :)

Yeah, as if Movie Directors are gonna 'Trick' us Movie Watchers into thinking (they) really ARE Seeing themselves in the Stage Mirrors....instead of the Camera Lens.

Never got me Fooled. It's so Obvious that Actors/Actresses Do that in their Mirror-Actings on Stage.

.......And they say a "Great Actor" never ever ever Eye Balls the 'Camera' while Acting.
But when Acting in front of a Mirror scene, Directors 'Do' have them Look into the Camera, through the Mirror.

You might want to analyze why this is important to you, as there are certainly several thousand things that should be more important to you than this.
And besides, you haven't made it clear what you are talking about - 1. Actor looks at camera as though there is a mirror between the camera and actor, 2. Actor looks in mirror and camera is behind or partially behind the actor like another person is in room and actor holds conversation with that person, looking at them. 3. Camera seems to be looking in mirror from reflective side, but actor appears not camera.
And by the way, an actor who is acting to the "fourth wall" is not acting to the camera, but beyond it to whatever is supposed to be there. If you don't believe it, you can probably find out take reels that show actors focusing on the camera lens and the difference is obvious.

i'm no longer ashamed to admit! I do look interior the mirror each morning top when you have up...to need the previous woman 'stable morning' and see how she's doing! And on a similar time as doing my hair...Then i exploit yet another mirror to work out the decrease back of my head...have been given to envision if my bun is appropriate! Feels intense-high quality if each hair is in place! provides a sort of greater effective self assurance!!! Oh, the speaking area! Yeah, that too, specially if the eyes are greater effective puffy, to chide myself for previous due nights! So relax, you're actually not on my own!!!

Yeah, I agree with Mike. Dude, you have issues if this is a problem for you. If you don't believe there are exceptions to rules like looking into the camera, then do us a favor and either don't watch movies or don't post here about your idiosyncrasies regarding film making. In much of film making, the end result is an illusion. What do you care how they arrived there? Just sit back and enjoy the journey.
