If they were to ever battle each other in a comic, Superman would win simply because he is a first tier character while Warlock is more of a second tier one. There's no way DC would allow their "invincible champion" to lose to somebody that most people who don't read comics would have never heard about. My choice for a victor would be Warlock though.

I'd have to say that if Warlock still had the Soul Gem, then he'd win the fight - all he'd have to do is trap Superman's soul inside of it.
If Warlock DIDN'T have the Soul Gem, it'd still be a close call - he might take out Supes simply by being able to call on the power cosmic (similar to the Silver Surfer) and never get tired, while Superman, even though mighty, does wear down after a while..
