We know that the last election showed the how american voters were disgruntled about Iraq. Facts suggests that even more people are disgruntled now about Iraq..including some republicans. So the question is....how big of a landslide will the democrats get in this next election due to the GOPer's still tying themselves at the hip with the increasingly unpopular and isolated Bush?

I know the thumbs down are coming.....but the ones with the balls to actually take a stand and do what they know is right regardless of the outcome will get my vote. Too many politicians rule by public opinion rather than what they were elected to do. That is LEAD with what is BEST for America as a whole and not bow down to public opinion because they fear losing political power. This is or Achilles heal and the terrorist have foreseen this. They have ingeniously exploited the crack in our system and it has brought them far closer to achieving their goal. Once again they will laugh at America and tell the world that the Democrats owe them for increasing their Congressional seats and possibly the presidency.

To Jess:

Though going against public opinion and LEADING does not make you a fascist.....you may and most probably be voted out and that is far from fascism yet this is a crack in our system and if a politician has the political Will to lead than I will follow. A time will return for more liberal minded ideas but this is not the time. Laugh all you want sometimes political suicide is the right thing to do and often the American thing to do. Laugh all you like but you can listen and vote for someone who will do what the majority prefer and it will be the down fall of our own Democracy....God Bless.

Nooo... the last election was Republicans telling the party they were disgusted with their lack of conservative principles and big spending habit. Here they had the Presidency and both houses, yet did little to advance conservative ideals. The truth is that the Democrat-Republican thing doesn't matter anymore. What does is that we elect a candidate who is a strong Constitutionalist and who WILL close and protect our borders: north, south, east and west. Someone who will solve the illegal immigrant problem, stop NAFTA, CAFTA and all other illegal agreements that threaten our country's sovergnity and pave the way towards a North American Union. We need a President who will restore American's privacy rights and do away with the Patriot Act. And I might add that many Democrats are just as guilty as many Republicans when it comes to supporting these schemes to ruin our great country. So whether that person has a "D" or "R" behind their name is truly a non-issue.

It's going to be ugly for them. There are some Republicans who are starting to wake up and smell the coffee, but not enough of them. And those that have still don't have the stones to join the Democrats in doing something about this war. So they just keep being obstructionists and begging Bush to change it up before they have to go against him. The problem is that by the time they actually do it, it will be too little too late. The Democratic majority Congress may have terrible approval ratings because they haven't stopped this war, but most American citizens know exactly who to blame for this mess - and it isn't the Democrats. It's that rubber stamp Congress he had, George Bush and Dick Cheney, for starters. As long as this war is still raging, the Republicans can kiss their butts goodbye when it comes to November '08.

Yep, that's why the GOP in congress is suddenly singing another tune. We will more than likely get a dem in the white house too. None of the candidates running for president on the GOP ticket makes any sense to the majority of the American people.

Ron Paul is the only GOP presidential hopeful who didn't back Bush's Iraq war to start with.

And what about Hillary, Edwards, Biden, etc backing the war?

You better check your numbers because the new gallup poll shows the democratically controlled congress has a 14% approval rating...which is significantly lower than that of the president..no matter though..because we have a deadbeat congress and a self appointed King for president...the corruption runs so deep on both sides it boggles the mind!!!

Uh oh. Someone expecting a Democrat landslide. Someone give him a bumper sticker that reads "Future Vote-Fraud Conspiracy Theorist".

No, I don't think so. For all the railing everyone seems to do, the voting records for both parties are quite similar.
