i think it just shows how much faith he had in his team. i think any team with good chemistry can be great as long as they practice hard and stay healthy, and im sure that's what luke walton was trying to say. i think the lakers can be a playoff threat if developing the players they have now is their first priority. then you can trade some useless players, and hope they find success somewhere else if you still want some new talent. kevin garnett and jermaine o'neal would be great additions to any team, but i dont think walton was stupid for saying his team dosent need them.

Luke Walton was just trying to keep his fans. He doesn't want to lose all the Lakers fans by telling them the team's totally giving up. Yes, I definetely agree that the Lakers need all the help they can get, but hey, they got into playoffs! Get a couple good players to support kobe, have a lot of confidence, practice, practice, practice, and they'll do well.

He's not an idiot...he's supporting his team. Even if he thinks they really need KG or JO, he doesn't help anything by going public about it. He's being a good teammate, simple as that. Kobe's doing a good enough job of stirring things up in LA, Luke doesn't need to pile on.
Fact is, they do need help to compete in the Western conference. Too many very good teams out west...Now, if they were in the East, that's a different story :).
And anyone in their right mind would want to play with KG, but saying they need him doesn't help anything. Its much better for him to be supportive of his team (at least publicly).

The others are acceptable, they followers are asserting "luuuuke". This grow to be actual began with the l. a. Kings. Luc Robitaille grow to be an exceedingly customary participant there, and the followers used to consistently yell "Luuuuc" every time he'd get the %.. i think of all the l. a. followers have been waiting to get yet another Luke interior the city to cheer on. Luke grow to be getting those cheers until now he even began producing.

umm he's probably scared of getting traded because if they were to trade for KG or JO he'd probably get involved in the trade
