I cannot chose between Thomas Jefferson or Franklin Roosevelt, but these are my vote for the most distinguished President in the history of the United States.

Who is your vote as the best U.S. President? :-)

Melbourne Girl: With all due respect, it is "wrong" for anyone to disrespect a sitting leader (especially if s/he leads a different nation than where one reside) whether one disagree with him/her or not. I would not disrespect Prime Minister John Howard at all as long as he leads your nation. By the way, it is of my humblest opinion that the late John Curtin is perhaps the greatest Prime Minister in the history of Australia. :-)

Franklin Roosevelt I think would be the consensus greatest president of the United States from those two. He did serve over 3 terms, he must have done something right.

You're going to think this is really corny but I really do admire Bill Clinton!!! The country was running smooth as silk when he was the President!!!! FDR was also a class act, he got us through WW2 (well almost), back on our feet after the depression and he was handicapped!!!

Well the best has to be my man George because he got our country on a great succesful start and fought in several wars for our freedom. After that would be Lincoln because he kept our country together after a civil war. That just takes guts.
