Feminism has pretty much neutered men in the USA. Men are so repressed about their sexuality.
If you go to Europe, Asia, South America, men wear speedos. The American culture considers a man showing his manhood as offensive as other cultures consider a woman not wearing a veil.
If you go to beaches and pools in most Arab countries, you’ll see the men playing the water in speedos while the women are in the water all covered from head to their ankles. Sometimes, the women simply dip their feet in the water. Americans love to criticize things like these, but Americans aren’t that much different.
In the USA, women are encouraged to wear bikinis, show their body, and be happy with their femininity. Yet, men have to wear big long surfer trunks, the longer the better, they should cover theirs knees. This season, swim shirts came around. So now, you see men with long short and swim shirts in beaches, pools while women don’t wear much.
Why do Americans see manhood as something offensive?

I think it is because Americans have had it too easy for so long. They have become like babies again whining all of the time. I think they are a selfish race that has lost the ability to feel the pain of other people. They think they deserve all they have.
How does such selfishness manifest itself in the de-maning of the US? It is because of fear. Fear that they have to justify what they have. It is the knowledge that they have become less than what they want to be.

Just Joking.
This video here is a good example of the culture clash between the two. People stereotype Muslims all the time because that is all they learn from TV. Nobody would really know different unless they actually knew a real Muslim family. Yes they are strict, but that is just old fashioned. Christians used to be the same in the old days.
Added: John, *most* Arab countries do not have those laws, again the media stereotype. Women in Jordan, Lebanon, and many other middle eastern countries have a choice between being religious and wearing a burka, or dressing western style. They just don't go bare like European countries.

Most of the guys I know prefer the surfer trunks, dude. So men are neutered because they prefer not to wear speedos? Please tell me a valid argument as to how men are neutered in this country? I haven't heard one yet.
BTW, I personally think we should all just dispence with shame and repression of all our bodies and go nude on the beach.

If that's the biggest problem you have with the way things go in the United States, then count you're blessings that that is all that bothers you. There are much more important issues that could use your energy, and if you are that passionate and need something to do, go volunteer at a battered woman's shelter, a homeless shelter, an animal shelter, and see what horrors there are in the world, and what evil humans are capable of, and actually do. Then see if speedos are the most important thing in the world to draw attention to. YFI

I think Americans criticize them because the women there cannot wear anything but a long burqa when in public even in 120 degree weather and even while in beach all in the name of modesty and perhaps they feel sorry for those women. I don't know man, your question doesn't make sense.

Many factors in your question that you yourself have not even stopped to consider. As far as Americans as a whole, you need to redo your question before you go asking something like that. America is the melting pot of the world is it not. I guess you saw some white guy talking about it on the new and figure you would rant some? Best of luck with your question, I myself dont see it going any place any time soon.

neither sex should be sexually repressed.
more men should stand up for their sexuality, not castigate people for trying to help women in other nations.
those women dipping their feel in the pool can be beaten to death for being alone with a male, the clothing is not the point of the anger for women's rights and lack of sexuality.
we let sexual displaces in movies, videos, music, and tv go on so people think we are sexualized. but we can't abide nudity, even in a non-sexual context like swimming. we put up signs at art museums to warn people about nudity in art, even when its not obscene.
-the swim shirts aren't about gender, many women and men want more clothing on. especially people who weigh more-

the united states became into born out of the thought of "inaliable rights," and that concept continues to be a deep-rooted element of yankee way of existence. human beings often view the oppression and subjugation of girls folk (or anybody else for that matter) to be universally incorrect, no longer merely cuturally diverse. whilst we've at situations in historic previous fallen wanting this generic ourselves, it continues to be our suitable. And as quickly as we fail at it, we are rapid to criticize our very own way of existence. it is genuine that erroneous or opportunistic feminism now and lower back is going too a techniques, yet women folk in the united states are loose to placed on burkhas or bikinis. And adult adult males are loose to placed on speedos or tuxedoes. some human beings stigmatize the speedo as a fashion selection, even though it is via the fact American women folk at present choose a guy who leaves a number of his sexuality to the mind's eye. merely as American adult adult males favorite a similar in women folk 3 or 4 generations in the past. The pendulum will honestly swing back any incorrect way sometime, yet for now it is the way we are. women folk in the Arab international at the instant are not loose to savour a similar selections. human beings do no longer view this as diverse. We view it as merely incorrect, merely as many center Easterners could evaluate eating beef or social dancing to be sinful for human beings and themselves alike.

There's a difference between showing your face or arms or legs and showing your "manhood."
Also in America we don't have laws saying men can't wear speedos... in the Middle East women are lawfully forced to wear burkas.
