Okay......I'm a Rock lover who lives with a bunch of hip hop listeners.......the things I've notice:

Rock listeners - have larger vocabulary, talk better w/o overloading on slang, not afraid to get dirty or hurt (from moshing, etc), can hold alcohol better, appreciate the music for its quality not playability/marketability (how many TRULY attractive rock guys have there been?)

hip hop IS music. just because you dont like it doesn't mean you have to talk trash about it. rock is awesome but people have different tastes and there is NOTHING wrong with it. so get over it dude and dont say hip hop isn't music. its just different, thats all. if you're a TRUE MUSIC FAN then you should know that.
