Oh yes. Especially by my children. I'm retired and they're all grown with their own families. If I dont answer the phone immediately, it's-Mother-where are you? I know you're there.
Like I'm at their disposal at all hours. They call me and tell me they're taking me out to dinner or the movies. Not-do you want to go to dinner-do you want to see this movie. Oh well-at least they still call.

Sometimes. This is not always a bad thing. In some cases, I engineered it to work that way. I don't want some people to feel anything but absolute certainty that I am and will be there for them. If it is not something I choose, then it doesn't happen often, and never for long. It is always something that can be undone. }:>

On a daily basis. Well, okay...I have to be real here....I used to feel taken for granted....but then I got tired of it and started putting my foot down, speaking my mind and telling it like it is......My momma didn't raise a fool....

at this point i feel people should feel gratefull if they feel taken for granted its better to feel that way then to have noone in your life to take you for granted!!

If you don't like it, you refer to it as being taken for granted. If you like it, you refer to it as trusting you.
I prefer to feel I am trusted.

Yes. My family does it daily. Everyone comes to me for everything. I am the youngest child and my family asks me to do all kinds things for them and when I don't they get upset.
