If/when US troops leave Iraq the Iraqi Shiites & Kurds will wipe all the Sunni insurgents/Al Qaeda off the Iraq map.

However, Bush won't let that happen because his Sunni allies like Saudi Arabia & Egypt don't want Iraq to become a Shiite dominated state even though the Iraqi Govt. is already 80% Shiite!

So, Bush won't let US troops come home because they've got to protect Iraqi Sunnis including the insurgents & Al Qaeda who live among the Iraqi Sunni civilians. (FYI: Every single one of the 9/11 terrorists was a Sunni).

So Bush is supporting the Shiite dominated Iraqi Govt./Army & he's supporting the Iraqi Sunni insurgents/Al Qaeda AT THE SAME TIME!

How the heck can US troops win a war in Iraq when their Commander in Chief is playing both sides of the fence?

U.S. troops in Iraq are not supposed to be "winning" anything. They are serving their intended purpose by getting killed and maimed in roadside bomb attacks.
The "war on terror" is a huge income opportunity for multi-national corporations, and the friends and family of Cheney and Bush. They can plunder the U.S.Treasury at will as long as Al Queda is a credible threat. That's why Pakistan is such a "valuable ally" of the United States, because they are training and equipping more terrorists than any other nation on earth.

It is a simpleton explanation to separate Shiite good, Sunni bad. Iran is trying to establish a Shiite presence to dominate the region. If Iraq is left to join forces with Iran, then all the "pro-west" governments will have to fight a war. If Iraq is stable as a democracy, as much as that thought horrifies liberals, the whole region may not deteriorate into a greater disaster than Lebanon.

That's precisely why I have lost total faith, and would like to see our troop's all brought home tomorrow, after this mess I doubt very much their will be very many more volunteers joining the military.

And Iran will take over anyways they have already infiltrated the whole infrastructure, let the Saudis deal with their own $hit for a change.

An invasion from what? Crop dusters and bi-planes? Fishing boats? How would the Suddam-led Iraqi army even get over here in a timely manner?

You should work for the media. They love any story they can twist to the left.

FYI - The Sunni's have begun to revolt against Al Qaeda. Missed that part in your report.

Fortunately, President Bush doesn't divide his world up in a bigoted way like you'd like you do.

He deals with individuals, not groups.

Now he's in trouble for not treating all Sunnis the same and all Shiite people the same regardless of how they behave? For not being bigoted?

You take the cake.

The Iraqi Sunni's are turning on AlQuada. You forgot to mention that little tid bit. Try the whole truth and not just half truths and innuendo. Do you think the NY times uses this board to scout for reporters?

Maybe he's trying to be like George Kastanza on that one Seinfeld episode: "Everything I've ever done has been wrong. So maybe if I do the complete opposite of what my instincts want me to do, it will be right."

We could be seeing all kinds of crazy stuff if he's gone that route.

You have just defined U.S foreign policy since Reagan took office. He did the same thing with Iraq and Iran when they were fighting. And, when Iran was our enemies, he funded them with weapons. Look up Iran Contragate. This has happened many times during Republican presidencies since Reagan too. That's why we are sh*t trouble there and the entire mid-east.
