Happy? Not exactly, nothing about this situation makes me happy. If the Congress can actually force the President to do the right thing, I will be relieved...but too many have already died, too much treasure has been squandered, and our country damaged by this administration for me to "be happy" about it.

Took a whuppin? If I remember right, the Dems hold the majority in the House by 2 seats? That's some "whuppin" eh?
And you're happy about the war being over and the terrorists coming here to fight?
You are a sad, pathetic individual aren't you?

Yep Cons took such a whuppin that democrats help elect a pro-life senator.
Got rid of the one the most supportive democrats.
Didn't get the super majority.
No impeachment
Now have an approval rating lower than the republicans did before the so call whuppin.

So what do you think will happen this time?

Sure, the Republicans lost both houses of Congress in November, but the Democrats that were elected are not exactly Knee-Jerk Liberals. If the Democrats want to make gains in the next election they have to court the independent voters in the middle of the political spectrum, and that won't go over well with Liberal Democrats. We really need a third party made up of people that reject the extremist policies of the present parties.

Looking at the popularity polls, I think both republicans AND democrats are going to be sent to the bench, regardless of who wins elections or who proposes bills.

Is it really Bush's war? Ole Al Gore was beating some pretty load war drums in the '90's. That would be an inconvenient truth as well.

Lets just all agree that the U.S. government is in the doghouse these days.

So what's going to happen next week that hasn't happened before? Marxist Nancy Pelosi will stutter and whimper when she doesn't get her way and Traitor Harry Reid will pop a blood vessel when he gets oooooohhhhhh ssssooooo mad when Bush slaps him down again. I can just see those two idiots running to the microphones and cameras whining and bitching! Should make my day!!!
