Yes, I worked construction for 15 years. I had some advocates and some foes. The foes were short lived with the company. I was good at what I did. The owners knew it, were supportive, in the end I left because I had other avenues to travel. The owners and the majority of the coworkers were supportive.

I only ever experienced it from one person and I worked with her. I wasn't out of the closet then but everyone knew. She just had problems dealing with who I was.

She wouldn't come near me if she didn't have to. One day, because we worked in a busy bakery, my elbow accidently hit her boob. She had a coronary.

I guess that's the only thing I've been through though. It wasn't painful as such - just sad that we couldn't get on together. Sadly about 2 years ago she was murdered by her husband. We will never be able to reconcile now.

Yeh.. They have been given their face smashed with the aid of a tumbler window quickly sufficient however. i've got not had a difficulty with homophobia because of the fact that. Homophobia is considered as undesirable as racism in my section (which that's) so people are not quite homophobic, and whilst they are they many times get what they deserve.

No, but Truckinotter did. Her very best friend from High School cut her off completely when she found out that we were a couple and had been since as long as Truck had gone away to college. Before she knew we had all hung out just fine, had outtings and picnics, sent letters and cards back and forth, called regularly -- the usual good friend things; but once the lady knew we were Happy she completely stopped everything. Once Truck confronted her, she used the religion excuse. It hurt Best Beloved very badly, in fact, it still does. Granted, this friend never harmed her physically but she didn't have to. It was like she sucker punched Truck right in the gut and I know it still hurts her today -- she says it's not worth it but I know she still thinks about it every now and then.

I had the word f** scratched onto the trunk lid of my car while at a gay club. I did not file a police report or insurance report and got it fixed on my own.

I was beaten after leaving a gay club and suffered an orbital blowout fracture that required reconstructive surgery. The hospital called the police and I had to tell my health insurance company what happened (what I could remember of it).

I have both ways. When I was a teen I knew I wasn't straight but was raised in a very conservative family who was homophobic and went to school with ppl who were. I guess I kinda just followed the crowd, all the while wrestling with my personal feelings.
And a big yes, to has anyone ever acted homophobic to me.

Yes, numerous times, and I'm not even a homosexual. I've been called names, followed with vehicles, hit with objects, harassed by phone, punched in the street, and even pushed through a window. The funny thing is that for a number of these things, the police told me that no crime was committed.

I don't understand the question; have you ever felt homophobic towards someone else, or has someone been homophobic towards you?
I've experienced both. When I was pretending to be straight, I was pretty homophobic. I've come around, though.
I've experienced hate being directed at me, usually at school, but I just ignore it.

Yes, I have! I have a gay uncle and I made plans to go visit him over break. Everyone acted like the world was ending, they were like, be careful. Males especially were like acting wierd toward me and warning me to be very careful about what I said and did! I was very disapointed in people. I told everyone who lectured me that my uncle's are people and i would be fine because they love me. Also they are accepting so all I had to do was be me, I didn't have to change what I said or did.

I had to give him the im gonna kick your *** look. I think he knew it made me uncomfortable and thats why he kept doing it.
