When hell freezes over and Matt Millen is fired. Yes they have a lot offensive firepower with Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, Mike Furrey, and Tatem Bell; although im still not sold on Kitna and his offensive line. Last year he threw for 4,000+ yards and 22 TDs, thats almost standard in Mike Martz's offense, yet also threw 22 INTs and was sacked 60+ times. Also, who do they have on defense?? Aside from rookie linebacker Ernie Sims last year, they don't have any playmakers at any level if the defense with Dre Bly gone.
In a nutshell, this team is too one sided to win 10 games. Yes they have a good offense on paper, but its not at the Colts level to where they can carry the entire team. Teams will be able to attack that defense and once Kitna starts to get pressured again, itll be a struggle to win. If they can get some decent defensive players now that (for the most part) have the offense set, they could possibly make a push for the playoffs in 2008.
Prediction: 6-10

Well, obviously Vegas doesn't agree. I just checked and the current "even money" line for Detroit is 6.5 wins this year. Thus, the chances of 10 wins are considerably less than 50%. ...and the odds that they'll win the NFC North are listed as 6 to 1...only one second place in the division team last year had 10 wins (the Jets) and most experts pick Detroit to finish third or fourth so I'd have to say, probability wise, the chances are pretty slim!

I don't think they can for three reasons.
1. If they won 10 games that would make them the Saints of this year. Thats tough for that to happen two years in a row.
2. I'm a big fan of CJ. He will demand an escort service every time he steps on the field, but that doesn't get you from 3 to 10.
3. Probably number 1 reason the schedule. They will lose to Chicago twice, Philly, Giants, Dallas, KC and San Diego. That's 7 so they will fall short.

Well first 4 games Oak, MN, Phil, Chic. all play tough D but I say 2-2. beating Oak, and MN.
then Wash, TB, Chic, Dev. again mostly good D, but I be nice and say 3-1, Losing to Chic and/or Dev
Next AZ, NYG, GB, MN Ok I would say 3-1 Losing to Mn
last up is Dallas, SD, Atl, @ GB in Dec. 1-3 Beating Atl
thats 9.
Thats if they get their Off where it should be, and find something of a D. and being really nice. Their Schl is pretty tough this year, and there is 3 or 4 teams I gave them a win on that could beat them, with AZ and Det being a shoot out, who ever gets the ball last wins type of game.
No way 10.

About a 50 to 1 shot. There is a chance, but my guess is they will be somewhere between 6 10 and 8 8. I think they will be better than the last few years.

Kitna did NOT guarantee anything. "There is no reason why we shouldn't win at LEAST 10 games this year" was what he said. ..............Having said that, I would venture to say that every player has high hopes before the season starts. The media took it and ran though so it became a topic. ........Having said THAT...................I would say there will be improvement but 10 is pretty lofty for that organization, but that is why they play the games.

I see the Lions with five losses in the NFC North alone. 10 - 6 is reach in my opinion. With the Lions history I have to see it to believe it.
Matt Millen still employed ? How can that be lol
