My favorite band is My Chemical Romance.
- Their lyrics are very personal, meaningful and written very well. Although their lyrics seem dark and depressing, they are actually trying to give hope to people out there who are facing problems
- They sing about meaningful things like the death of a loved one and overcoming obstacles. There are some bands (not necessarily rock ones) that sing about sex and women. I personally hate listening to songs with such concepts
- Their songs are catchy. The music is played well by the band members (Ray Toro, Mikey Way, Bob Bryar and Frank Iero) while the frontman Gerard Way sings so well that he actually brings the songs to life
MCR are also a very creative band. Their sound is different from any other. I know what some people think of them but I wouldn't change my opinion of them just to fit in with the crowd.

I'm not sure what soft rock is...you mean like Journey? oh! I think Ive heard on one of those record commercials somewhere that Chicago and Air Supply is soft rock...also Little River Band

I love anything Rock! I can't choose. I like ACDC, Nickel Back, The Rolling Stones, Evanscence, Green Day. And for why I like it, I like it because it makes me want to dance! (P.S. Mainstream bands are mainstream because there the most popular and you are asking for our favorite rock band. So if it falls under mainstream, then we'd be lieing if we said something more creative.... Don't yah think?

Female: Drain S.T.H - Why? Because every song I have heard from them, I love. It's mellow-ish, and rockin' at the same time!
Male: Well... One not too mainstream? Then I pick... Well... White Stripes... - Why? Because they have a sound to them... and in most of their songs, they change like the riff and stuff.. they just don't keep playing the same riff over and over.

they have awesome bass lines and great raw energy, plus the lyrics are great too

I love Pat Benatar, Joan Jett and the Black Hearts, and Heart. I love the beat, the style, they're strong tough women. They are the gorgeous ladies of rock to me.

It's between Muse & The Academy Is...
I LOVE Muse because all of their songs are awesome and the lyrics are so poetic, it's AMAZING!! I also love them because they're British, that makes them extra cool.
I LOVE The Academy Is... because the lead singer is SOOOO HOT and I love all of their songs as soon as I hear them.

my favorite is def leopard OF ALL TIME. It's a great band some soft some hard, you know what I mean?. And it reminds me of the good ol' times when I was younger, I'm only thirty-four but I feel like that was my era.
