Do you want to be a stage actor or film actor or both? I generally recommend that young people who want to be actors do not attend college because if wastes the 4 years when you are most attractive and energetic. Unless you are really outstanding, you will probably just get lost in the crowd at UCLA. Most schools are beaurocracies that are more interested in perpetuating themselves that they are in educating their students. I have found only two schools that I can wholeheartedly recommend for acting: Yale Drama School and Julliard. There is one in England I would also recommend. On the west coast, the only school that has caught my attention is The San Francisco Academy of the
Arts. Let me know if you have any more questions at kencosp@aol.com

UCLA is like a city within a city. It's absolutely GIGANTIC.

The performing arts programs there have always enjoyed strong reputations. You could do a lot worse.
