well most love starts as friendship but you can kinda tell weather he wants it to stay a friendship with time if he starts dating or talking about other girls after a while then he is probably not interested in you in the other way. and you can tell if he just wants sex by the things you did when your with him...does he always try to have sex with you or talk about sex often? does he only come get you during those type hours? try holding out on the sex and if he gets dis interested in you he was probably only interested in the sex.

Well if a man wants sex than he will charm you with words like hey beautiful,hey sexy, and there will be no conversation, and hey can i pour you another drink,if he is a true friend than you will be able to talk for hours and hours about any and everything and not realize where the time went, with or without the aphrodisiac of alcohol,if it is love then it will be a mutual attraction between the two of you.

Just ask him. Don't know what to say? Say this, "______________, I need you to help me know the direction you'd like our relationship to take. Are you interested in friendship, are you at a place where you want to explore a mutually exclusive love/romantic relationship? Are you looking for something that is more friends with benefits and no committment?"
Then, pay attention - he'll show you exactly what he wants.
If you are as young as I believe you may be... you might want to involve yourself with other things that are more constructive to your future.

I think the better question is: how can you tell if a man wants more than sex from you. In my experience, men are not real choosy as to who they have sex with. Men are really into "friends with benefits". If you are wanting more from a relationship than just sex, you better start as friends and see if you are compatable.

A woman usually knows when a man wants to have sex with her. The way he looks at you, his body movements. usually tell you that he does. Or you can look at his front, if there's a bulge, then, that's it. No question about it LOL!!

Love ... you will be shown respect , loyalty , he will care about your opinions, feelins .
Friendship ... casual conversations , other dates besides you .
Sex..... Talk about nothing but sex ! Trust me you will know when a man is intrested only in getting you in the sack !

Does he listen intently when you speak? Does he look you in the eyes and seem truly interested in what you are saying? Does he leave a little room between you so as not to invade your space? if so, he wants sex. We all do.

You can't always tell right away, but you definately know that if you don't put out for six months or better with the guy he probably wasn't just in it for sex. Make them earn it.
