I just had my baby about 3 weeks ago, and am nursing. Usually every woman gets her period after delivery. I always had. Am still on it now. If you're really concerned about it, call your ob/gyn and ask. That way you won't have to freak out. I would think that everyone's different. Just like everyone is different in shinking their uterus back to it's normal size. Congrats and good luck!

You should still be bleeding anyways from having the baby! If you are breastfeeding you may not get one back at all until a few months after you stop. If not, you can have one in a month or 2... all depends on what your body wants.

I bled for 5 weeks after the baby and 3 days after that I started my period. Everybody is different.

it took me 5 weeks to get my monthly back but then again I started on birth control 3 weeks after my son was born. But the normal range of starting your monthly after having a baby depends it can range from 2 months to a year and yes you can get pregnant without having the first post pregnancy period so be careful

If you are bottlefeeding, you will probably have your period within 2 months. If you are breastfeeding, it could take about 6-8 months (average for most), but possibly longer.
Be sure to use birth control if you don't plan to be pregnant again anytime soon - you will ovulate before you get you period :)

I nursed all of my children and gave them no formula. Because of that, it took me 6 months to get my period. What an awesome result of pregnancy and nursing!
