no,..this was just for show only...we are gearing up for another election in the not to far future.....the president will veto this action and they know it.....the only thing that can override a presidential veto is a 2/3 vote from congress....this is not going to happen...look how many was for this action and how many against...no way ,will two thirds happen with this congress.....
this was just a publicity stunt..at the cost of the taxpayers..nothing more........

No, because the measure will be held up in the Senate, and even if it passes, President Bush will veto it. Moreover, even if the measure became law, a lot of things can happen between now and the spring to force a change in policy.
The war will not end before 2009.

If we leave Iraq, the terrorist will claim a victory and terrorists all over the world will see that a few IEDs and car bombs brought a superpower to its knees. If we pull out, terrorists all over the world will feel invincible and then we will be in real trouble.
