Whats the most powerful pcs in the world open to the public? Also the most expensive if you can add that in.

The most powerful is customizable to the following highest extent: HP Pavilion d4990y series. You can get 4GB of RAM, Windows Vista Ultimate (64 Bit) [a lot of pwer there!], and it also can have the fastest processor: Intel Core 2 Quad. (With for processors running and 4GB of RAM AND 64 bit Vista Ultimate, you'll have the best machine. With all the bells and whistles on this machine it will get you up to around $3,500-$4,000 for this wonderful machine that I would love to own.

I really miss the Sun Sparc notebooks ... 64-bit processors, Solaris OS, but I guess they didn't sell well. As for most expensive, try the Dell XPS M2010 on for size. upwards or $3500, 20" screen, detachable blue-tooth keyboard. Nice machine. Way heavy though.
