First of all, I want to say that I know that we are all PART OF THE HUMAN RACE! I also know we should treat people individually; but, to be honest, would you go outside of the "physical identification" you have with a race (caucasin, black, hispanic, asian, etc.)??
this has always been a hard one for me, because I am multi-cultural, heritage speaking... and I identify with no particular "group". so, it has been easy for me to look people individually. but, i do still have my preference.

Yes, I have dated lots of guys who don't look like me.
I believe you can't keep yourself from loving who ever you love or are attracted to.

If he or she is a good human being, go for it and enjoy getting to know about other people, cultures, foods, language.....all right here in the usa!

I'm glad to meet another smart gurl who agrees with me ~ LOL
Peace out~
Ariel

I am caucasian and dated a black man once, and it amazed me how different we were culturally. It wound up not working out because of pressure from his family. It wasn't that they didn't like me, they never met me--they just didn't like the idea of him dating a "white girl". Go figure. I would date a man of any ethnic identity if we really hit it off, but there are going to be challenges to any relationship, no matter what the genetics or ethnic identification of the people. :D

Personally, I am visually attracted to Indian men (from India) and Scottish men, but have never actually had a relationship with either. I guess it does come down to what is inside.

My preference is outside of my own race. I grew up in a very small town and was not exposed to other cultures, skin tones, dialects, or traditions until I moved. I think because of this I am usually attracted to non-Caucasians.

I married someone obviously darker than myself and birthed some insanely pretty babies.

But, I am the product of the whitest of white mother and Native father - so it's not as though I was raised with any expectation to "stick to" any particular thing.

I suspect what you grew up learning has a huge amount to do with your preferences.

This is a stupid question but it gets asked over and over. It's getting so frickin' annoying!
EVERYONE has a preference! That doesn't make you racist. Saying "I refuse to date an asian because they are dumb" makes you racist. I would date out of my race if the person I liked happened to be of another race.

i have dated outside my race but would not do it again. i dated a latina (mexican columbian mix) and no matter what i did her family never trusted me. i spoke spanish so well that i could go to family gatherings and not need a word of english but i wasnt good enough for them. forget that noise, i dont need to put up with that. if things were reversed, ****** jesse jackass or the mexican version of him would be all over my family. im sure there are accepting spanish people but i dont care to deal with that.

Looking back, I never have. Really no reason I suppose, but I've never dated and didn't marry outside my race.
