I believe men need to step up to the plate and limit what their women listen to the radio. For example all this gansta rap promoting women to be harlots and the like should be completely prohibited. Its clear to see that music can affect people's minds changing the way they act and dress. That's why I think if a man gives his girl a warning not to listen to a certain type of music on her car radio and he finds out that she does, an acceptable form of punishment would be to remove the car radio. Or if he is busy that day he can pull the fuse that goes to the car radio so it will not turn on. This is all about keeping the women more innocent and wholesome and is for their own good.

I think that works both way again. Both male and females, in fact mostly males listen to that kind of music your talking about. I think it's stupid, I think it's wrong, I think it's inappropriate and I think it's bad for a lot of people to listen to that kind of music. Including little kids! God, I do not want them to listen to that! But I think it's pretty stupid to take out her car radio like that. I mean, the mans gonna look like fool if he does that. I think it's a bit extreme and theres no guarantee it's going to work. I mean, she could always get a new radio, if her boyfriend does that then she could still brake up with him and what good will that do? Especially seeing as she can sue or press charges against him for stealing her radio. And she will probably have her car locked up, so that's breaking into her car as well.

All 'N' all, more harm will come from that, so I don't think it's a very bright idea

You have some serious control issues, your being too literal in your reading of the bible, lighten up because if you believe that you can force someone into Gods light, then all your doing is turning them away from him, why would they want one who forces people into belief in him? If it was your wifes car, you had no right to do that because it is hers, she don't mess with your car does she? Repect for peoples property is part of marriage. God said to provide for his wife and family, not to dominated it, re-read your vows dude, don't think it says anything about controling every aspect of a marriage, down to the point you taken. I can guess why your not married to her anymore, she probably couldn't get free of you soon enough. I guess being in charge of the family meant that you decided if and when kids would be born into it, that all TV and radio, magazines and stuff had to be cleared by you first, huh? There is no way you can block all influences in a persons life, doubt you had much luck in your marriage either did you? Get a life dude, your gonna be very lonely until the day you meet your maker, and I bet he'll ask you the same question regarding your views.

Hmmm... Mr. Sandstorm, I'm kind of surprised that you think women should drive cars at all, let alone listen to music on a car radio!

I agree that some of today's music is pretty graphic, but it's hard to control what people listen to on their radio. How does the man know if his woman has been listening to gansta rap? Is there some kind of memory on the radio, or did she leave it on the wrong station?

If my husband forbade me to do anything, I would obey him, but he doesn't mind me listening to different types of music.

Everyone says that music has an influence on society, but it really doesn't. The decisions you make are not because of music; its your peers that persuade you how to act. Besides, taking a person's car radio is insane, especially since they'll have to pay for it! If you feel that strongly about gangsta music, then tell them how you feel. But don't pull the fuse on their expensive stuff. And, why just women? It's men too ya know....

You need a lot of help! Seek some counselling fast!
The only person you can control or change is yourself.
You are not responsible for anyone else, except your children.
You also don't have any right to damage another's property.

As for your disagreement over the lady's choice of music;-{
tell her how you feel about it, & explain why it upsets you.
But the only thing you should remove from the car is yourself.
Ask her not to play that kind of music when you are around.
If she does not respect your wishes, it's time to move on.

Children yes women NOT NO BUT **** NO. Listen buddy I dont know what portal in hades brought you back from the 1950's but get over yourself. I dont like that music either but if a grown woman wants to listen to it by God you are not her daddy and she can listen to whatever she wants. Besides women are not stupid we have credit cards we will go get someone to put a new one in we bought at walmart or take it to a shop where a dirty grease monkey will think we are pretty and put a new fuse in for free. You honestly think taking out a fuse or radio is going to stop her in the times of Ipods Xm radio and the internet? Geez your really ignorant.

If a woman, or a man for that matter, listens to that kind of music, it only proves they have poor taste in music. Though sometimes this kind of music can be good for venting purposes. And I'm afraid pulling the radio (or at least the fuse) would be pointless. We women are intelligent and know how to fix it. We also know how to cut the brake lines to our man's vehicles.

i listen to all sorts of music but it doesn't change how i act or how I dress. I wouldn't allow anyone to dictate to me what I can and can't listen too, also it's my car, I pay the bills on it so I would never allow the radio to be tampered with in any shape or form.

lmao!!! rofl!!! you just cant be serious! there are so many things wrong with this idea its not even funny! first of all rap lyrics, are bad but rap music in general is not mad. its artistic. its talent! you are suffering from "mine is better thinking" sydrom. And dont you think its hypocritical of you to not allow your gf to listen to degrading music by degrading her? let me put your aruement into standard form and then you can tell me if it makes sence

P1: Gansta rap degrades women (degrading is the same as permoting harlots)

p2: My wife listens to rap

conclusion: i should be able to degrade and insult my wife by telling her she cant make her own decisions (aka take her stereo out)

i think a good breakup would be for yours and her own good.

you dont get to punish your wife.... she on the other hand can do plenty of things to piss you off like withhold sex and dump you! its funny you men think you have ll the power but dont realize we are really the ones in controll now! *evil laugh*

Darlin' , I have a policy in Life. It goes something like this: "Please don't help me."

It's because of exactly this sh*t.

There's another little saying I like, too: "If it ain't broke don't fix it."

You do what you want to your car. I bought, paid for, insured and maintain my car out of my pocket. Take your own stuff apart. Leave mine alone.

It's for your own good.

Now, had the car been bought, paid for, insured and maintained by you, you could do anything you want.

But you wouldn't tear it up if it was yours, would you?

No, I didn't think so.
