Right and a privilege. It is a right as a citizen of the US. It is a privilege given by few other countries.

We are given the right based on the constitution however, we are given the privilege of voting. I think it's a privilege since sometimes the right to vote is taken away.

I think voting is a privilege because people in other countries don't always get to and we should be thankful that we have a democracy where we can vote for who our leader is!

It is certainly a right given that we are an electoral democracy - and definitely a privilege when compared to many other countries.

It hasn't been a right very long, because not that long ago women couldn't vote. See how messed up things are now! Nobody should vote based on thier emotions.

Unfortunatly, its a right, but only Constitutionally.
There are deffinatly some people out there who don't deserve it though.

Personally, I believe you should have to pass the citizenship test in order to vote. But lets face it, that will never happen.
