Its just not his year. I remember Jake Peavy going thru the same thing last year, and look at him now. Either be patient with Halladay and hope he turns it around or hope he does better next year.

Roy Halladay is one of those pitchers that goes through stretches where he looks totally ordinary out on the mound. Then, he is a Cy Young Award winner. I don't think this is totally it for him. He has some left in the tank. It might be next year, but I'm pretty sure he will bounce back. He is nothing like Mark Prior. Halladay is so much more dependable than Prior. It's not even close!

I also notice a change with doc this year

First of all no, we should never trade our top pitcher (if vernon, glaus, overbay and rios start batting bad, will you trade them?). I think with all the players landing on the DL, Roy is trying to play through some pain. His arm has really been weak as of late and with McGowan and Marcum, heck even Josh Towers performing better, you got to sense there is a problem. I think we need to conduct an x-ray on his arm because it seems the bone tissue is not as strong and doc is throwing with less comfort because of that. He is managing a decent season but not what you expect from your top pitcher and ace.

Yea, I wouldnt bank on Roy right now. It feels like every inning is a grind for him.

I dont know what the Blue Jays were thinkin when they got rid of Excobar either.

Hopefully Halladay will turn it around or rest up better or something because his ERA is nearing the 5.00 level and that is no way acceptable, unless your the 5 spot.

Halladay is a very good pitcher who might be struggling with some nagging injury problems. He seems to have these kinds of problems every year and has been on the DL once this year. A pitcher of his ability doesn't forget how to pitch and he should be fine.
