Well if they are from the united states and committed a crime in the U.S then they would just get tried in the united states and if found guilty sent to prison. If they are not from the united states then that would make our nation "foreign" to this person and they would be sent to there embassy and they would decide what is to happen to them.

Short answer NO. Criminals are typically tried in the nation they commit the crime. One exception would be if you killed a diplomat of a foreign nation or a foreign head of government/state. Then there could be charges brought against you by that government, but almost certainly you would be tried in the USA first.

no, U.S. laws do not apply to foreign countries so no. Also, some people have political immunity so they can commit a minor crime and get away with it.

yes to part of this question. it is called absensha. i don't really know how to spell it but it means we can try a person and sentence them. but until they are caught or sent back to the us. they can not be imprisoned in another country they have to be sent back. that's the only time they will spend in jail in another country fighting there extradition back to the us. unless they are in a non extradition country then we can not do anything until they leave that country. but if they leave they will do there time here and they do not get another trial.

No, not beyond waiting to be returned to the U. S.
And, that country must have an agreement with the U. S.
If it does not, you're free to stay there without fear of extradition. So pick your refuge carefully.
