Hell yeah it is. I'm so spyched that I'm going next weekend now after this questions so thanks.
get cheese on a stick it is some tasty stuff.
best rides
Millenium Force & Mean Streak (are my two favorites, but the Mean Streak isn't as good as it used to be since it's a wood coaster the weather made the ride not as smooth.
Magnum XL 200, Raptor, Blue streak, is light but fun to start out on. Gemini, if they have both coasters going they race each other. I haven't ridden on the Maverick yet, and even though the Top Thrill Dragster is 3 years old, it's always down when I try to go on it. Mantis is alright, if the other lines are busy Gemini again is the one you can get on quick, same with the corkscrew (nother little and old ride)
if it's hot there is thunder canyon, were you go on a raft that goes under waterfalls, or snak river falls, goes down a huge hill and you will get wet, plus you can stand on a bridge and get wet from the boats coming down after you ride. There used to be white water canyon, but that was taken down and is now were the maverick is. Disaster transport by the space needle is a lame ride but is air conditioned if it's really hot.
Power Tower is cool, the up is fun, and the down you should go on at night you get a great view of the park. another sort of coaster is wicked twister by ocean motion in the back it's pretty cool.
the train around the park is fun and you can see were stuff is no extra cost. There is also a boat ride around the park too, I think that is at the snoopy kiddy land but you could do that if you wanted to. There little rides like Max Air and witches wheel and matterhorn, or swabinchen or the fair like rides that are fun as well.
I'm not sure but they used to have 3 different places for shows, the theatre toward the front by the sky ride, the auditorium by the witches wheel, and the divers and stuff towards the back of the park near the ocean motion and disaster trasnport. There are fair like games over in that area too, were you can win prizes and stuff. There are also 2 or 3 arcades (I think) in the park
They have plenty of decent places to eat, Johnny Rockets, coasters, Macoroni grill all have good food. or many of the little stands, one under the sky ride one by the Gemini
Soak city is fun, maybe a day pass or a 2 day pass it has the "o" ride not sure if that is the real name but it's a stube and it goes down this slide, but you're high up and you feel like you're going to go over the edge. There is one that is totally inside this tube the whole time it's like pitch dark and it's a really cool water slide. They have the ocean waves that is cool, and just some regular pools, one has like an obsticle were you have to walk across on lilly pads, Soak City is fun too. There is also the beach right out side of the park yiou can get stamped and go back in. Soak City is a serparate ticket than Cedar Point though. You can get to the beach from either one I think.
Cedar Point has like 17 coaster I think it is now, and plenty of other rides and games. Plenty of foods and other attractions as well, I think I named the majority but if I missed anything you can also go to their website. www.cedarpoint.com

It's one of the best amusement parks in the country!
It's also known as America's Roller Coast for a reason...it's the only park with 17 coasters!
If you like coasters, I suggest hitting them all, try Maverick since it's the newest coaster and will probably demand the largest lines right now. I haven't been on it yet (haven't been to the park since 2000), but it looks fun.
Also, the check out some of the shows if you want a break from the heat for a bit. And the food, Cedar Point has some of the best amusement park food around. And don't forget the shopping, but I suggest doing that as you're leaving the park. That way, you don't have to worry about lugging around bags of souvenir's all day!
If you want to hit the water park, Soak City is an additional cost. I've never been there, but I've heard it's a lot of fun. But really, unless you're going to be there for more than one day, I'd say stay in the park and skip the water park.
Definately go on a weekday if at all possible. The weekends are the busiest days, and you'll end up spending HOURS in long lines for the coasters. I'm talking, in upwards of 2 hours or more for some rides. Good luck and have fun!!!

Cedar point is the best place you could ever go if you like roller coasters. Cedar point currently has one of the largest fastest roller coasters in the world. The Top Thrill Dragster. 128 mph and 420 feet straight up. If you're willing to wait up to 4 hours for an 18 second ride, it is totally worth it. Cedar Point has the most number of Roller Coasters anywhere in the world with over 25 operating rides. Cedar point is also the home to the Millenium Force. Built in 2000, it was the first Cable-Hoist Rollercoaster to reach the 300 foot mark. It is 312 feet high, and has a maximum speed of 90 mph and a max downward slope of 89 degrees. Another great ride is the Magnum XL-200. Built in (I think 1973) '73, It held the record for the tallest rollercoaster ever built for about 20 years. It is 210 feet high, with a max speed of about 75 mph. If you want the full experience, you need to rent a cabin to stay in. Get to the park about a day ahead of time, and stay overnight. You get to get in first, and you get to ride the rides before anybody else does. Another great ride is Mean Streak. It is one of the largest wooden rollercoasters in the world, with a max height of about 150 feet and speed of about 65 mph. It is a great thrill. Walk around the park. There are two entrances, the main entrance, and the special entrance for guests who bring trailers and rent cabins. If you are in the main entrance, ride Blue Streak, and the Raptor. Keep making your way to the corkscrew, and then you will eventually get to Millenium Force and the Dragster. I wouldn't recommend Mantis, but ride Iron Wolf and Dragster and definately get to Millenium. Ride Sky hawk, as the biggest swing you will ever ride. Ride Gemini, and the power Tower. Do the green side, it's the funnest. And yes, I've been there and done everything. You will like it, I guarantee it. Oh, and bring a flyswatter. We were there one summer and there was a huge swarm of what's called Muffleheads. They are relatives to the mosquito, but they DO NOT BITE. The park is situated on an island in the middle of lake Erie, so bring a jacket.

ITS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!
Go on some of the big rides they're all unique and fun. If this is your first time on a rollercoaster just remember to relax and enjoy the ride dont focus on how scary it is or anything, scream and wave your arms in the air to relieve tension. I reccomend the magnum, corkscrew, maXair, and mantis (there are more but i didn't get to ride them but i'm pretty sure millenium force, raptor, maverick, and top thrill dragster are great). Try to ride as many rides in the morning and during mealtimes when lines are shortest.
