I am fixing up my front porch and I would like a rug at least 5x6 to go in front of the Glider I just bought. I do not want anything like Jute. Where can I look and what exactly do I look for... I really want something I can walk on barefoot and not have it be so rough it hurts my feet. Thanks

There are a lot of new rugs this year for outdoor use. Most 5x8 rugs are $99 to $120. The newest are from Nourison, and Momeni rugs. Both are great looking. Both are made for outside use, both are soft to the touch. Nourison calls theirs Seasons. Momeni calls theirs lanai.

For a medium priced/quality rug get a UV stabilized olefin. Not just an olefin it must be UV stabilized. For a better top quality rug get an UV stabilized polyester. Again it must be UV stabilized. Most rug stores can help you with the above rugs. Expect to pay about $100 to $200 for a 5 x 8 rug of UV olefin. And about $250 to $350 for the UV polyester in a 5 x 8 .
