ok, so i really need guidance on this but i think all my friends would be biast(or however u spell that). ok i can't decide on whether i want to play football this year.

I've been the league's mvp for two years straight leading my team in sacks and tackles behind the line. i love the attention i get from playing football.

but the only problem is..i really don't like football. but i dont want to let my friends down, and i still want to meet girls with football. but my favorite sport is wrestling which is completely anti social.

should i go with the sport i love, or the sport i dont like but has benifits

you need to decide which one will give a better opportunity for going to school and getting a education if that is what you really looking for. You can always have the girls and the spot light, now if that is what is really what you are about well then you are a very shallow person who will be a very unhappy in the end. I say go what TRULY makes you happy and should that be wrestling then go for it you def. feel better in the long run, but if short term glitz and glory are what you seek well then play football and feel incomplete. Always follow your heart dude life is so short and you a chance of a life time.

You don't say how old you are, but put a priority on what you like to do. Your personality will determine how you do with females (and males), and anyone who likes you simply because you are good at football probably isn't worth your time.

Now, the other answer does have some validity if you are in high school and have a chance at a college scholarship. That might be worth toughing it out for another year. Otherwise, though, why not be happy?

And, a final thought -- can you do both? If not, why not?

you have to pick a sport which you feel dedication to and will give you the best shot at some scholarship money. Use athletics to drive your education. Trust me. as a collegiate football player you spend 30 hours a week during the season for practice and study and training during the offseason so pick a sport that best suits you. Those 30 hours will seem awfully long if you are not passionate about the sport.

Football is a sport you have to LOVE to stay involved. If you don't love it, get out. Theres no shame in that. Can you imagine getting hurt playing football and never being able to play sports again because of it? You wouldn't want to have your sports career end in a sport you don't even like. I played football in high school, and years later, I still wear the scars on my body. To me, it was worth it. If you can't honestly the same thing, you gotta back out. Fame, popularity, its all fleeting. Do what you want to do.

Don't do something just because you're good at it, I'm sure that your team could use you, but really you need to decide whether it is worth giving up something that you love just for popularity. And if those people are really your friends, then they will support your decision. I can't really put myself in your situation, but I would probably do what I like. Sorry I can't help. =(

i say go with whichever sport can get you a scholarship to university. most important is education and if both sports can get you scholarships, then go with the one you love. you can always meet girls later on in life, like college.
