Cash.
Dylan wrote some great songs but that voice could peel paint.

Check out Dylan's "Nashville Skyline" album, where Johnny Cash sings several duets with Bob.

Man this is another tough one. Two of the most distinctive voices ever to grace vinyl, tape , or cd. Bob Dylan may well be the best american poet in the last three generations, both have influenced countless musicians, great and small. Music would not be where it is today if not for the two of them. They both cross the genre gap. HMMMM, I guess I will have to go with pure heart on this decision. BOB DYLAN.

BOTH of them!
Bob Dylan for songwriting/inspiration, Johnny Cash for guitar playing/badass-ness.

Dylan...
he inspired the Beatles... and brought pot from the beats to the hippies... and made folk go electric.. he was innovative, one step ahead of what was next... and he was standing up for the individual and what is right... his contribution and catalog are both immense. lyrics are better.
Cash has an immense contribution and catalog but he didn't change the world!
They both did black well too.. cash is famous for it.
