I don't think it's right the way people behave in college. But I don't think it's right to say that it's only right for females to be in college or in dormitories if theres male there. because the males act just as bad, sometimes even worse. And I also think that people need to learn from their mistakes and the only they can do that is by making some. I don't agree with the thought that it's only females acting inappropriately, because you know it's male too. Females just get on/in the porn because they're female and mostly males watch that. You seem to be pretty guilty of it yourself. (No offense intended).
But all 'N' I do agree that college kids need to act better. But not that it's just female. I say if they're going to ruin their lives, let them ruin their lives. I'm sorry but theres not much you or anyone else can do about it

It's not because we "don't need to view a husband as a financial decision", if that was the case, educated women would be more likely to divorce, because they wouldn't need their husband to make it on their own. Educated women don't divorce as often because in general they have a better job, and commonly marry men who are educated and also have better jobs. Having better jobs leads to less stress, due to not having financial difficulties. They're able to raise their children better, so the kids don't cause as much stress. Also being dedicated enough to get a college degree, shows that the woman has dedication and will typically be more dedicated to her husband, etc. Of course all of these statements are just generalizations, and any one of them could be incorrect about a woman with a college education, however this would be true for the majority and show in statistics that "college educated women are less likely to get a divorce".

Sandy, Sandy, Sandy....should women even have an education? i'm going to be visiting the University of Delaware on Saturday, the farthest college I've looked at. Of course I would stay in a dorm if I went there, or to any other college I went to. I personally think women are more mature than guys. We can handle dorm life. Maybe I don't want to be a nurse. maybe I want to go to medical school, or law school! Maybe I want to ba a teacher or an archeologist. Maybe Community College can't provide the itinerary I need or want.
Maybe it's time you learned that women are equals.

Oh, and men drinking, partying and womanizing in college dorms is acceptable? Women are every bit as entitled to as much of a college education as any one. If they complete a four year degree, then choose to go on to a master's degree or a doctorate, all the power to them. If the feel that living in the dorms helps them fulfill the college experience, that is good for them. Women do not require a man to tell them what to do and how to act. Women are strong, independent people who are capable of taking care of themselves.

That would be a major generalization on your part, don't you think.
Men can get just as bad.....if NOT WORSE.
Women are quite capable to live on their own, and do any career that they feel passionate for. This isn't the 50's-60's.

It only makes sense of them to stay in college dormitories if they live far away from where they are studying. I don't think they need to be under constant supervision while studying.

If that's the case, then no one should be able to stay in dorms as boys can be just as bad.
