HOT. It is not a silly question, by the way.

Plan on 80-90s, and we;ve had some 100 degree days in August before. Of course, it is cooler the more north you go, I am near Detroit.

I live in lower Michigan and it's usually between 75-85, not much rain. It's much cooler in the upper peninsula, especially near the water. But bring a sweater because whether you're going to the upper or lower peninsula the weather can change very fast. I know you'll have a good time we have a very beautiful state with lots to do.

Depends on what flash Menopausal Michigan is in the mood for. Pack for everything but snow.

It's usually anywhere between 70 - 100. Not really rainy. Unless she really feels like it. Being surrounded by lakes really effects our weather strange. It's not like other states. We can get humid. Not like Florida humid, but humid enough to be uncomfortable. Then the next week we could go through a horrid dry spell and everyones grass turns brown and flowers die.

Like This week alone, not kidding....
Saturday... Too hot to breathe. High 98. Slept naked. No sheets.
Sunday.... Humid and hot. Had to lay on the hardwood floor to keep cool. (no air conditioning)
Monday.... Nice. Normal. Wore shorts. Tee shirt. No problem. About 80.
Tuesday.... Thunder Rumbles. Sky is half dark half blue. Still really nice. Rains later. Garden needed it.
Wed-Fri....OH MY GOD it won't stop Raining! Now weather is down to 65 (day time) - 55 (night). Wore Jeans, full shoes, and a long sleeve shirt. Took out down blanket just packed away.
Saturday...Weather calls for light sprinkles in some scattered parts of the state. High of 75.
........................
Crazy, isn't it? Like I said.... Pack for everything.....

Hope to have helped.

It can vary a great deal, of course. Here in the Upper Peninsula, this summer has been running colder than usual. It's only in the 60s this week!

August in the UP can get into the 90s, but I'm guessing we'll get to the 80s this year.

It tends to be quite a bit cooler & windier in towns near the lakes than those away from them.

I suggest you visit www.weather.com to get the 10-day forecast for the area you're traveling to before you leave.

Enjoy your visit! :-)

I'm from Michigan, in August in my opinon it's hot, humid, and isnt rainy, really, it usually rains in June. If you go to Michigan, g oto the U.P. It's cooler up there maybe in the 50's. Down here, in the L.P, it's pretty warm, and we use A/C,

honestly, if you're going to visit lower Michigan you're better off avoiding it in August, not only hot but unbearably humid...especially after it rains. if you're planning on visiting the UP it's still hot but the humidity isn't quite so bad. have a good time.

No, not cold weather. You can pretty much count on it being hot... in the eighties probably. It depends... the last few days where I live in MI was supposed to rain, but there wasn't any rain.

It's usually pretty warm in Aug. like 80 to 90 degrees and isn't rainy.
It depends on what city you are going to cause the weather varies.
