I do very much enjoy it, I know some may find it too in tents I prefer to look at it like an in*tent*ional way of being closer to the way our ancestors were forced to live. I have also discovered that my ability to pitch a tent improves dramatically the farther off the beaten path I am, I think it all relates back too the pressure being removed from my everyday world mentality. I have erected tents in record time as I grow older and wiser...just my 2 cents worth baby.

Camping is in tents and the stakes are high. There has been a big flap over it lately. It has left me scratching my dome. It has made me want to bag it at times, but I have decided to sleep on it for a little while. There is smore to it than meets the eye. I am not some marshmallow who quits when the going gets tough. My inflatable mattress is great, but it is not all it seams to be. It can leave you flat if things don't go right. Sometimes camping is a blast and is just out of site. But I know my limitations. I am not some hotdog who thinks he knows everything. I am no masochist. I am not propane. Nor am I anybody's fuel. It really burns me up when people don't put out their campfires. I stay focused and stick with it, even if my fellow campers and I are poles apart. There is a place in downtown Portland that has one of the largest tent camping areas of any large city. However, some find the in tent city too much for them, and prefer a more casual style of camping.

Hehehe, nice! But really, I love to camp. I haven't been camping in years, but I grew up doing it! I was in Girl Scouts for eight years and we did a lot of camping, and my family had a cabin on a lake in Washington State where we went several times a year. I've been camping in tents, campers, the cabin, on a houseboat...in the cold, in the rain, in the summer...it doesn't matter much to me, I love it. I think the only reason I haven't gone camping here in Florida where I live is because nobody ever took me and I don't really know where the good places are to go here. That and I get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Camping is one thing I WILL start doing again, because it's one of the things I love to do :)

Love it!!! Went camping in December in a tent we bought on sale... it was fun, the snow didn't seep in, even though the reason the tent was cheap was because it had a hole in it. We stayed inside and played games and read books, went outside and stayed by the fire for ages. Sigh.... oh the WINTER OF OUR DISCOUNT TENT......

I love it! Especially out at the lake with a man that I love that I can cuddle up with in a tent or whatever and then we can play in the water (whenever) and we can horse play and whatever else happens. Wink, wink. LOL

Used to all the time with my father and always loved it.
As long as it's peaceful, quiet and I feel safe, I'll go.
A tents not to safe though, snakes, people lurking around, but I'll go.
