i didn't have my 1st appt. till 19wks(because of ins.) i missed some test(mostly for high risk pregnancy do to age, etc.) but everythings been fine and normal with the baby and me i did start taking over the counter prenatals as soon as i the hpt was pos. and did my best to eat healthy

You should see your Dr at about 8 or 9 weeks. and then again 4 weeks later. That's about twice in the first trimester unless you go before 8 weeks.
Some women have irregular periods or dont even realize they are pregnant until 8 or 9 weeks and cant get squeezed in. It's important though to make sure you take a prenatal vitamin in the first trimester, so if you know you are pregnant I would try to get there.

Well I guess second trimester is better than nothing! Most go as soon as they find out they are pregnant. Whats the wait for anyways! I would go as soon as possible. Good luck

That's usually when you go...
By the time you find out your pregnant, you're usually around 6-8 weeks, maybe more...so by the time the doc has an appt, you'll be hitting 2nd trimester. As long as you know your prego and taking care of yourself before the doc visit, you'll be ok. Just get there as soon as you can.

If you didn't know you were pregnant or you didn't want to know. I had a friend that didn't go till she was 5 months and the baby is fine.
