Next season Barry Bonds has the ability to switch hit, and starts batting righty, and then is listed as a switch hitter. Would he get the Switch Hitting homerun record? Because you don't need to bat have to bad left vs right and vice versa, it is just a strategy, so would he get the switch hitting record or not?

That would be up to Bud Selig, or another commissioner, but I doubt it. I believe (as a general rule of thumb) that you have to have been switch hitting for at least 1/3 of your career hits. I can't imagine ANYONE, not even Hitler letting him murder baseball THAT much.

i wasnt aware that barry would (or evn could 4 that matter) bat as a switch hitter. If by sum weird turn of evnts he did bat right & left or just right next season, it wouldnt matter. lets face it; unless he gets injured soon(like b4 his b-day) he WILL break the record. it pains me as much as any1 cuz i no he used steriods at sum pt. u dont go from 185 to 225 or whatevr he is now in just a few yrs w/out the use of sum steriod of sorts. i think just like w/ pete rose, it will come out that bonds used steriods. my opinion is this: give him the record cuz he will brk the record. i mean, they still give rose the hits record. however, dont put him in the HOF cuz evn though he was good b4 steriods, he used them anyway. and if u use them, u should not b in the HOF...period.
