You can't count them out yet. Ten games isn't that big of a lead with 80 games left.

only one extra win for Boston. If Boston loses something of their game. The yankees are nevertheless in the back of the Twins, too... Boston will play the angels interior the 1st around... Sorry.

Only if the Red Sox have a miserable 2nd half like they did last year. I'm a Sox fan but after living through last year's injuries I can't bring myself to laugh at the Yankees because of all their first half injury woes.

Come on that's foolish question Yankees are done until next year when again George opens up the bank and goes fo more free agents. The Yankees used to me the cream of the crop but others are better. So NO they won't.

No

But I think they might have a shot at the wild card

I'm a red sox fan and im not dumb enough to say the yankees are dead in july, I don't think they can catch the red sox

but they might have a shot at the wild card

As a yankees fan i have to say Yes... but as a baseball fan, they make wildcard, beat boston in playoffs...

No.

The answer is "no" today.

The answer will be "no" tomorrow.

The answer will be "no" when the Sox' magic number is down to one.

The answer will be "no" when the magic number reaches ZERO.

The answer will be "no" on October 1 when the postseason berths are set and Jeter is making his earliest-ever after-season tee time appointment at the Maui Country Club.

The worthwhile question to ask is, when will Yankees fans grasp this?

I'd like to see those indefatigable, unshakably confident Yankees believers start putting up insanely large -- overlarge, even -- wagers in support of their team. Gonna win, right? Take fiscal advantage of your insider knowledge; bet that family farm or tenement on 51st Ave.

Steinbrenner would, but he cannot, so youse guys gotsa dooze it fer hims.

if the yanks win almost every single game in the second half then yes but with their old team and especially old pitching staff its nearly impossible

Better luck next year Yankees

Doubtful --too many injuries to an already mediocre pitching staff, and hiring Roger the Rocket ain't gon' do it. Toronto, maybe, but it's a, ahem, "rebuilding year" for da Bronx Bombers....
