Here's my problem with outside cats and small dogs. They run the streets when you are fast asleep! I drive the city bus on swing shift, last night (near midnight) I was nearly ran into by 1 cat and 1 very small dog in less than an hour! Thankfully, it was nearing the end of my shift and there was only one passenger. I could not have slammed on my brakes to avoid these animals had there been more people on the bus or anyone standing. Leaving a pet outside endangers not only the life of the animal, but, the life of the people that are trying to avoid the little jaywalkers. Trust me, cats are professional escape artists. You may think your cat can't leave the yard-- but, you are WRONG!
