There is no way to know, since we can't travel in time.

What you are talking about is part of what is sometimes called the "Grandfather Paradox" - you go back in time and kill your grandfather so he never marries your grandmother and you are then never born - but then how could you go back in time if you were never born.

Some theorists say that the universe will prevent this type of paradox somehow, though there isn't any good description or idea of how it will do that.

Others say that every moment in time, every decision, causes a split in reality, like the branching of a tree.
So the theory is you go back in time and change an event that you remember from "your" branch, but since you change things you continue on the "changed" or alternate branch.
Some very good science fiction novels and movies have been based on the concept of "alternative" or "parallel" realities.

The truth is, we don't know. So any theory is just that, unproveable (at this time) and so just as valid as any other unproveable theory.

I believe your first concern would be with the first leg of the trip. IF you went backward in time you would cease to exist once you passed the moment of your conception. However, if you went backwards in Hindu time, you would cease to exist as a human and would change into a cow for about five years, and then a goat for twenty, a dog for fifteen, a mouse for three, etc.. When you finally reached your historic destination and you have gone far exnogh back in time the world could be full of chickens speaking French. Just hope you are not a bug or a snail.

Just like the movie Dejavu. They have 2 theories, 1 is that B will run in parallel with the new B meaning there will be 2 Bs existing at the same time. The other theory is that B will cease as soon as you made that change and the future is going to be totally different.

If backwards time travel is possible, a separate universe will be created in which the B you knew never happened. When you make changes to A, you will be stuck in a universe in which B does not exist. Your "present" time will be replaced with C, a world different than the one you knew.

this is all theoretical but perhaps if you went back in time, you went to an alternate dimension which therefore would have no effect of the present.

if you changed something that caused you not to be born you would never have been able to go back in time.

There is no time travel

If you did, you, yourself, would be taken out of the loop

You might find out if you come back YOU don't exist

Digest that for a while
