I have a male betta fish and was thinking about getting an amphibian of some sort but was wondering if there was a species that can live with it without eather of them being eaten.

I use to have a male beta 15 swordtails and a red tail shark in the same tank and they were fine so I know some fish are good with a beta as long as they don't have frilly tails

More misinformation and basic lack of understanding about bettas. Bettas are quite peaceful except where other bettas are concerned. A Dwarf Frog would would be a very nice addition to small betta tank.

relies upon if the beta became in the tank first and how great the tank is...in spite of if that's a small tank 10g and the betta became in the tank first it already has the territory mapped out as his so which you will not have the skill to place something with him...in the event that they are going right into a clean tank jointly a frog might artwork with a betta. crabs will attack the bettas fins and harm it so i does not advise a crap or a shrimp.. i think of the best difficulty may well be to get frogs and guppies. they're purely as quite and might stay with the different passive fish! best of luck!

All bettas are aggresive fish, no matter the species that they have interactions with. No amphibian or other fish would make a great guest with this Betta. Anything added to the tank will surely die. So please dont attempt to add anything to their tank, bowl. However there are mini fish tanks that can house 2 Bettas, but there is a divider so they will not fight. This may prove useful if you wanted more to look at. Here is an example , there are many more designs, and they are cheap.

LOL AT THE THUMBS DOWN. BETTAS ARE NATURAL KILLERS. IM GLAD YOU PEOPLE THINK YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKIN BOUT, yes SOME bettas may get along with another frog of some sort, BUT 95% of the time the betta will ravishly attack the other animal. lol wow. people who think they know so much but have no idea.

I agree with MM. Bettas do quite well with dwarf frogs. If I had a bigger tank I would buy a male betta as well when I go to buy 2 dwarf frogs.

bettas can just about live with any fish but they do need an addiquite ammount of space like a 50 gallon or more its not worth it. either that or fish larger than it

well the real name for a beta fish is the japanise fighting fish but they become stoned...they just float in the waterr sometimes...i sugest you get a different tank for each of your aquatic pets and put them next to each other...before one of them goes bye bye!
