ok well you may think this is pathetic but me and my friend found out that the local paper is going to be at the harry potter book release any ideas on how to get our pic in it?

Rumour did have the book being released on 7 July 2007, but some say that that date has been decided against, it being the anniversary of the London bombings. The most recent rumour is for a release date of 31 July 2007 -- Harry's birthday.

Dress up as Moaning Myrtle... get a clean toilet seat, put it round your head, and dress up like a ghost.
Or go as a portrait... get a huge frame, and act like Dumbledore's portrait or the fat lady or Sir Cadogan or any of the portraits we've seen.
Or Bill and Greyback, Bill with a grotesque, mangled face from being attacked by Greyback and you can chase each other around and make a scene.
Not Tonks, Bellatrix, Harry, Ron, Hermione or any normal characters - they are "been there done that"

Stay at the release until the paper people come and leave. Dress up as one of the characters and do it well. Be all smiles! Just don't stop smiling! Talk with your friends and always face the press(where they have their cameras pointed)

Try to stand out from the other people that are going to be dressing like Hogwarts students by painting your face with the house colors and hand made t-shirts saying things like "i love Harry Potter", that's what I would do.

it has to be something that catches your eye and makes you want to show it to the world. not just dressing up as one of the characters..everyone will do that. unless you really go all out and make it a really complex exciting version of one of the characters!!!!!!!!!!!
